  1. Functions as an accredited Safety Officer; responsible for compliance assurance and the preparation and submission of Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC) Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reports.

  2. Functions as a Pollution Control Officer; responsible for compliance assurance and the preparation and submission of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) reports.

  3. Implements company Management System Requirements which include among others:

  4. Risk Assessment and Management

  5. Environmental Management
  6. ESH Objectives, Targets and Action Plans
  7. Permit to Work and Safe Work Procedures
  8. ESH Performance Monitoring
  9. ESH Compliance Assurance
  10. Emergency Preparedness and Response
  11. Management of Change
  12. Occupational Health Management Standards (support)
  13. Road Safety

  14. Develop ESH plans and programs, including budget and resource requirements, consistent with the Company's Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESH) Policy and regulatory requirements.

  15. Due diligence of ESH Plan and related documents which includes review of method statements, job hazard analysis and mitigation measures.

  16. Monitors contractor's conformance which include but not limited to permit to work system, safe work practices, and assessment and mitigation of medium to high risk tasks.

  17. Consolidate, implement and monitor similar Environment related activities from the contractors and other company's subsidiaries and identify Environment related issues and concerns.

  18. Establishes a maintenance and inspection system for safety equipment and tools assigned to the project team to ensure they are in good working condition and fit for use through regular inspection, calibration and testing.
  19. Prepare and make periodic revisions of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Environmental Monitoring Plan (EMoP) for the project to ensure alignment with the ECC conditions, Company requirements, Lenders and local regulatory requirements and other relevant provisions of the project's contracts with respect to Environment-related activities.
  20. Conduct ESH briefings and orientations to newly hired employees, Company personnel, Company visitors and contractors including the stakeholders and the community.
  21. Conducts weekly and monthly ESH metrics reporting and analysis of leading and lagging indicators, identifying the status, results, progress and recommendations; safety orientation (employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors)
  22. Represents company as ESH representative in related meetings and activities of the projects and other business related functions as appropriate.
  23. Monitor and ensure closure of corrective and preventive actions.
  24. Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification Requirements:

Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in related field

Ideal education requirement: Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Minimum experience:

  • Two (2) years of progressive experience in the field of Health, Environment and Safety. Preferably in Manufacturing Company.
