Import Compliance Officer

IMPORT COORDINATION
· Handle end-to-end import processes from purchase order confirmation to delivery
· Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and custom brokers regarding shipment schedules, documentation, and delivery guidelines
· Monitor shipment status and ensure timely arrival of goods
· Communicate with international suppliers to confirm product specifications, shipping instructions and documentation requirements
· Coordinate import schedules with internal departments such as Purchasing, Finance, and Inventory
· Maintain updated import status reports, shipment trackers and arrival schedules
· Prepare monthly import summaries, cost reports and compliance reports
DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE
· Prepare and verify importation documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/ airway bills, and certificates of origin
· Ensure compliance with customs laws, import regulations and government agency requirements
· Maintain accurate and complete import files for audit purposes
· Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate efficient clearance
· Ensure all duties, taxes and fees are assessed correctly and paid on time
· Resolve any customs issues or discrepancies
· Prepare receiving and item reports
· Capture and modify images for new products
· Container's status, empty and pre-advise summary
· Upload new items in Alliance WebPOS
INVENTORY
· Conducts inventory report (daily, weekly, monthly), Google Sheet monitoring and Shopify
· Assist in the resolution of inventory inquiries
· Generate sample delivery receipts and returns for the sales team's sample requests
COST & LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT
· Review freight, duties, and related charges to ensure cost efficiency
· Recommend cost-saving measures for import processes, freight, and warehousing
· Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for receiving and storage of imported goods
· Company representative for ICC Stickers and PS marks
· Performs other related duties as required or as assigned
QUALIFICATION
· College graduate
· With skills and ability on inventory management, documentation and records management, planning and organizing, mathematical ability and financial acumen
· With at least 1-2 years of experience in inventory management of products on the same industry
· With good judgement in modification and adaptation of set quality standards
· With effective and proficient verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and proposal
· Demonstrate personal attributes to confidentiality, standard of conduct, respect, flexibility, sensitivity and other related work ethic
