KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide safe project management, leadership to ROV projects and operations in line with Client and Company standards and expectations
  • Manage ROV Systems and Workshop areas to ensure assets are in an appropriate state of readiness to mobilise onto projects
  • Manage ROV Systems and Workshop areas and personnel to ensure projects are resourced to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the company's expectations and requirements.
  • Accountable for ROV Systems and logistics yards, ensuring that they are run in accordance with the company's quality and safety standards
  • Provide contractual awareness and support to the project engineers, project managers and ROV Operators.
  • Management of 3rd party ROV systems on relevant projects, including mobilisations and demobilisations of 3rd party ROV systems and equipment.
  • Briefing to coordinate ROV Operators on SOW of specific project and project-specific commercial implications to ensure daily reporting is in line with project contractual requirements.
  • Supply of ROV equipment and personnel to meet project requirements
  • Provide support to Project Manager for planning of the project ensuring the SOW requirements are met
  • Provide technical support to ROV and project teams
  • Liaise with clients when required
  • Supervision of QA/QC audits during project periods
  • Offshore visits to ROV worksites as required.  Ensure necessary precautions to maintain & project the integrity & conditions of tools and vehicles.
  • Manage the inventory control systems for individual offshore system.
  • Prepare formal procedures as per project requirements.
  • Plan & manage ROV project operations offshore as per project & client requirements.
  • Manage ROV operations in all environmental conditions.
  • Full knowledge of the ROV operational & systems manuals, handling system & all sub systems.
  • Identify ROV requirements and present the company's ROV/Engineering/Tooling capabilities to enable the Project Manager to accommodate project requirements.
  • Collation of system technical reports from offshore and preparation weekly/monthly technical and planned maintenance reports
  • Monitor and action of spares and stores requirements for projects
  • Provide input to ROV operational processes and procedures are suitable and regularly updated, manage the ROV operational procedures
  • Filing of all technical correspondence/documents
  • Assisting in the logistics of Survey assets in the Asia region
  • Accountable for the Safety and Quality performance of ROV projects and operations
  • Show leadership in safety and quality effort in the the company's Subsea division
  • Mentor and assess ROV trainees & Pilot Technicians in all environs.
  • Provide support, and leadership where required to investigation and after-action review processes for ROV project and operational related items.
  • Ensure that work conditions & environment is maintained in a safe and healthy condition.
  • Champion HSEQ for the ROV division
  • Assessing offshore personnel's performance and expectations
  • Manage technical personnel selection and appraisals
  • Promote a safe and positive HSE culture.
  • Budget, manage and delegate R&M tasks for individual systems on a day-to-day basis whether the equipment is on offshore projects or idle in workshop
  • Budget, plan, manage and monitor Capital Expenditure for the company's owned ROV assets
  • Provide input to and review of tenders, as requested, to develop or verify the commercial and technical aspects of the ROV equipment, personnel and operational solution proposed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 – 10 years' experience in offshore industry with experience in ROV services in differing regions globally
  • A nationally recognised qualification in electrical, electronic, hydraulic or mechanics
  • 5 – 10 years' experience in offshore ROV operations
  • Managed ROV technical system requirements for projects and operations in regions globally
  • Experience in managing ROV mobilisation and demobilisation for offshore projects and delivering on time and on budget
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Manage and develop people with the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others to create a unified team
  • Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
