Job Title: Pharmacist

Job Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring patient safety, and providing guidance on the proper use of drugs. The role also includes maintaining regulatory compliance, managing inventory, and promoting health and wellness within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, interpret, and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide professional advice to patients regarding medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards (FDA, DOH, and local laws).
  • Monitor patient medication records to prevent contraindications and promote safe drug therapy.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and preventing shortages/expiry.
  • Counsel patients on over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and health products.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of prescriptions, narcotics, and controlled substances.
  • Supervise pharmacy assistants, interns, and staff to ensure excellent service.
  • Participate in health promotion and wellness programs (e.g., vaccination, blood pressure monitoring).
  • Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and pharmaceutical best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist (PRC License or equivalent, depending on location).
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, counseling, and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

  • Community pharmacy, hospital, or retail setting.
  • May require flexible hours, weekends, or holidays depending on operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php28,000.00 per month
