  • The Licensed Pharmacist is a key member of the MTG Medical Clinic Inc. healthcare team, responsible for providing safe, accurate, and quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. The role involves accurately interpreting and dispensing prescriptions, ensuring inventory control, and strictly adhering to all Philippine regulatory standards, especially those set by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accurate Dispensing: Review, interpret, and process prescriptions and complex medication orders accurately and promptly, ensuring the right medication and dosage are provided to the correct patient.
  • Clinical Review: Screen prescriptions for appropriateness, checking for potential drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse effects to ensure patient safety and optimal therapy outcomes.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive and clear medication counseling to patients regarding proper drug usage, storage, dosing schedules, and potential side effects.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and monitor the clinic's pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and preventing stock-outs or expiry, while maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure theclinic's pharmacy operations, including storage, dispensing practices, and documentation, are in strict compliance with all regulatory requirements of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Philippine Pharmacy Act (RA
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient medication profiles and prescription records, as mandated by the PRC, FDA, and company policies.
  • Interprofessional Collaboration: Serve as the primary drug information resource for physicians, nurses, and other clinic staff.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.
  • License: Must be a Licensed Pharmacist with a current and active registration from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
  • Experience: Preferably six (6) months experience in a related field (e.g., community, hospital, or clinic pharmacy). Fresh PRC board passers are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills:
  • Expert Knowledge of pharmacology, drug therapy, and FDA regulatory compliances.
  • Exceptional attention to detail for safe dispensing and accurate inventory control.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient counseling and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology (a plus).
