We are looking for an experienced Oracle Essbase Developer / Support Engineer to design, optimize, and support our enterprise Essbase applications that power critical financial reporting and budgeting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and modify/maintain Oracle Essbase cubes and applications.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Essbase environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Build and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, MDX/report scripts.
  • Manually load data from sources such as GCP-UDP and other upstream systems.
  • Work closely with business analysts and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Integrate Essbase with Oracle EPM modules and other data sources.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, calculations, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams on patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
  • Document support procedures and maintain a knowledge base for recurring issues.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in Oracle Essbase.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and OLAP technologies.
  • Proficiency in writing calculation scripts, load rules, and MDX queries.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning, HFM, or other EPM tools is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, able to work closely with Finance and IT.
