We are urgently hiring an EHS Officer who will serve as the overall go-to person for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) for a new construction and renovation project under IFF. The role will ensure full compliance with EHS standards, conduct roving inspections, and manage safety requirements on-site. This is a 3-month project role with potential for extension or absorption depending on performance and project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary EHS representative for the new project/renovation site.
  • Conduct roving inspections and ensure strict adherence to IFF EHS standards.
  • Identify workplace hazards, implement mitigation measures, and ensure corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage PPE compliance and inventory.
  • Provide coordination with project managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit EHS reports, incident reports, and urgent safety updates.
  • Ensure compliance with BOSH/COSH/LCM requirements and safety protocols.
  • Act as a Safety Officer (SO3) on-site.
  • Handle BOF and fire safety checks.
  • Able to extend working hours depending on site needs (flexible schedule, Monday–Friday with OT when required).
  • Represent IFF professionally during site inspections and implementation of safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: BOSH, COSH, LCM
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in construction or related project sites.
  • Background in electrical safety, construction EHS, and renovation projects.
  • Strong experience in site inspections and safety monitoring.
  • Must be able to identify hazards, mitigate risks, and enforce safety standards effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to report directly to an expat (must be proficient in English).
  • Willing to work onsite, in shifting schedules, and render OT when needed.
  • Preferably with experience handling urgent EHS concerns and documentation.
