We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP,

be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, and have hands-on

experience with QuickBooks. A CPA license or active CPA candidacy is strongly

preferred.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic Fractional CFO environment,

supporting multiple clients and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all

financial processes.

Key Responsibilities


• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and

journal entries.


• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

in accordance with U.S. GAAP.


• Support month-end and year-end close processes.


• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor payments

and customer invoicing when applicable.


• Maintain and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.


• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.


• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.


• Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for management and clients.


• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.


• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial

operations.


• No direct client-facing responsibilities required, but strong communication is

expected.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).


• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience (flexible — not entry level).


• CPA license or active CPA candidate (preferred).


• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook,

PowerPoint).


• Extensive experience using QuickBooks Online (or Desktop).


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• High attention to detail and accuracy.


• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience working with multiple clients simultaneously.


• Exposure to financial statement preparation and audit coordination.


• Familiarity with Reach Reporting (a plus).


• Knowledge of other accounting or ERP software is an advantage.
