About Us
Image Foundry is a UK-based creative agency specialising in architectural visualisation. We work with international studios to deliver high-quality CGI for property and design projects. We are looking to recruit a detail-oriented CGI Checker with an architectural background to join our growing team.
Role Overview
The CGI Checker will act as a quality control and project support specialist, ensuring that all CGI outputs meet client requirements and architectural accuracy standards. You will bridge the gap between client instructions and production teams, helping ensure clarity, precision, and consistency across projects.
This is not a production/artist role. Instead, you will check, validate, and manage outputs, making sure that architectural details, amendments, and briefs are accurate and comprehensible before they reach our production studios.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Checking & Accuracy
- Review CGI outputs against client drawings (plans, elevations, materials, site details).
- Ensure all updates and amendments are implemented correctly and consistently.
- Highlight discrepancies and resolve issues before delivery.
Briefing & Communication
- Interpret client amendments and translate them into clear, simple instructions for non-native English-speaking production teams.
- Use screen grabs or illustrations to clarify points when needed.
- Flag unclear instructions and proactively seek clarification.
File & Image Management
- Check incoming project packs to ensure all required files and references are included.
- Maintain and update project briefing documents.
- Manage Digital Asset Management (DAM) system entries and ensure images are stored, tagged, and organised properly.
- Assist in curating and maintaining an internal portfolio/image library for future use.
Project Support
- Provide proactive support to exterior project management teams.
- Contribute to internal organisation, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
Education/Experience
- Degree in Architecture or related field strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in architectural visualisation, drafting, or technical checking roles is highly desirable.
Skills
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (must be able to simplify and clarify technical instructions).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately.
- Competence in handling CAD/architectural drawings and referencing them to visuals.
- Experience with file management, DAM systems, or similar organisational tools is an advantage.
Work Hours
- Must be willing to overlap with UK working hours for a significant portion of the day (exact hours to be agreed with the successful candidate).
- Flexibility is available for part of the schedule to follow local hours.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work with an established UK agency with international reach.
- A role that blends architecture, visualisation, and project management.
- Remote working arrangement with structured communication and support.
- Professional growth and training opportunities.
Application Instructions
- Your CV/Resume
- A short cover letter detailing your architectural background and quality-checking experience
- A short video (around 2 minutes) recorded on your phone (quality of recording does not matter). This is simply to give us an idea of your communication skills.
