GIS Project Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Site Manager with strong GIS (Geographic Information Systems) expertise to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising day-to-day construction operations at project sites, ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with approved technical specifications, engineering standards, and safety requirements.

This position plays a key role in the successful delivery of infrastructure projects—particularly those involving NGCP transmission lines, substations, and grid enhancement initiatives—while maintaining project quality, timelines, and budget targets.

• Oversee, manage, and coordinate daily site operations to ensure all works are implemented according to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Utilize GIS tools and datasets to support project planning, site analysis, mapping, and documentation.
• Interpret and validate technical drawings, GIS maps, engineering plans, and specifications; provide practical site-based engineering and management solutions as needed.
• Perform routine inspections and quality checks to confirm compliance with engineering standards, safety codes, and project requirements.
• Lead coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, engineering teams, and key project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare and submit accurate progress reports, GIS-based documentation, site records, and regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental guidelines in all site activities.
• Maintain organized and detailed records of completed works, manpower, materials, field data, and GIS-related site information.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Engineer, or in a similar leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for mapping, analysis, and project coordination.
• Proficient in engineering and technical software (AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant tools).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality and safety.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, safety training) are an advantage.
• Experience working on NGCP projects or similar transmission/substation projects is highly preferred.
• Ability to start immediately.
