What is the Job all about?

The Purchasing Specialist drives value-based sourcing, operational excellence, and sustainability while optimizing TCO and supporting digital initiatives across logistics and procurement.

Your main responsibilities: 

Provide support related to sourcing and relationship activities in close cooperation with the Category Managers. Collaborate with Category Managers on sourcing and relationship activities.Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies using advanced purchasing tools.Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations.Conduct market intelligence research to identify cost drivers, trends, and best practices.Drive value and savings delivery within assigned categories.Optimize supplier portfolios and manage tendering processes.Assist in contract creation and management, ensuring compliance and transparency.Provide reporting and data visibility through SAP TM, S2P, and support CoE Logistics initiatives.Facilitate supplier business reviews and maintain preferred supplier lists.Support supplier performance assessment and development programs.

Your background:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, engineering or related field.Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience within logistics sourcing. Knowledge of best practices and relevant systems for business support. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Strong analytical and strategic thinking; proficiency in Excel and/or Power BI preferred. Result- and action-oriented mindset. Familiarity with SAP TM, S2P, and digital procurement tools is a plus. Expected travel: maximum 10%.
