I. JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for processing cash, debit and credit transactions using a cash register or other point-of-sale system in a retail environment. Their duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale.

II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Process sales transactions

● Calculate the cost of products or services

● Accept payments

● Calculate and return change when required by the payment method

● Maintain adequate change denomination in the cash drawer and request additional change

● Answer customer questions about products and services

● Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts

● Work as a team to meet store sales goals

● Maintain clean and tidy checkout area

● Report issues with equipment

Other responsibilities:

a. Understanding, continuing update and compliance of the relevant policies, procedures and service delivery standards of this position; understanding, continuing update and compliance of the human resources policies, procedures and code of conduct; while promoting management, team and cross department support, leadership, professionalism and good relations.

b. Performs other related duties and functions assigned by the Operations Manager or General Manager.

III. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Education. College Level or High School Diploma.

  2. Work Experience. Having at least six (6) months experience in customer service & cashiering. Basic math and writing skills.

  3. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills; excellent leadership and managing skills; highly fitted in a fast and dynamic business environment; "can do well do" attitude; trustworthy and result oriented. Must be attentive to detail, thorough, possess a strong work ethic, and be professional and courteous when working with others.
