The Opportunity
CAD/BIM-MEICA for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant and Process Design Projects using AutoCAD Plant 3D
The AutoCAD Plant 3D Operator will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and construction documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant plant designs.
Your role in our team
- Create and update 3D models of piping systems, equipment layouts, and structural components using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Develop P&IDs and general arrangement drawings based on engineering specifications.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to integrate design elements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
- Participate in design reviews and clash detection using Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks or similar tools.
- Support construction teams with drawing updates and field coordination.
- Maintain drawing standards and documentation workflows using BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical or related) or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years in plant design, preferably in water/wastewater or industrial facilities.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Plant 3D, including spec-driven piping and P&ID creation.
- Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or other Autodesk tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Strong grasp of process mechanical design and plant layout standards.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the region.
- Problem-solving and coordination across disciplines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication with project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local water utility standards (MWSI/MWCI) and Australian Standards is beneficial.
- Experience working on infrastructure projects funded by ADB, JICA, or World Bank is a plus.
