Job Summary

Join a trusted leader in underground utility and excavation construction, known for delivering quality, value, and service across every project. As an Estimator, you'll play a critical role in identifying opportunities, preparing detailed cost estimates, and supporting our pre-construction and bidding processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core Estimating Duties:

• Identify new project opportunities through bid services and market research.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates covering material, labor, equipment, overhead, and profit.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and construction documents to develop accurate bids.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate quotes.
• Prepare and submit complete bid packages including all required documentation.
• Track estimating performance metrics and maintain records in estimating software.
• Support pre-construction planning by ensuring bids meet profit and margin targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff of awarded projects.

Project Management Growth Responsibilities (for the right candidate or as potential advancement):

• Manage awarded jobs from estimate to closeout, ensuring accuracy in execution and cost control.
• Monitor project progress against original estimates, identifying variances and adjusting plans.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and subcontractors to address scope, schedule, and site issues.
• Handle customer communications and clarify change orders or site modifications as needed.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and all changes are reflected in plans and billing.
• Provide reports on job performance, labor/material usage, and profitability to management.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience (underground utility preferred).
• Strong math, critical thinking, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Comfortable interacting with suppliers and clients via phone and email.
• Demonstrates company values: integrity, safety, problem solving, preparation, and quality.
• Strong personal traits: humility, accountability, self-motivation, and curiosity.
• Must be available to work U.S. business hours (CST), with potential for flexibility once independently working in the role dependent on client preferences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ProContractor or HeavyBid estimating software.
• Familiarity with utility excavation, site prep, and directional drilling practices.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Relevant project management or construction estimating certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
