Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a leading, family-owned manufacturer of plastic and styrofoam packaging solutions and dinnerware in their search for a General Manager based in Quezon City

Salary Range: ₱250,000 - ₱300,000

Work Setup: Onsite

Location: Quezon City

The role

This is a pivotal executive position that reports directly to the Owner and Vice President. The General Manager will be responsible for the full Profit & Loss (P&L) of the two manufacturing facilities in Bulacan and Valenzuela. This role's primary mandate is to drive operational excellence, standardization, and productivity across all departments, focusing on integrating the end-to-end process from raw material conversion to finished product distribution within the highly specialized plastic and styrofoam packaging industry.

Your Responsibilities:

Operational & Manufacturing Leadership (75% Focus)

• Oversee Dual-Plant Operations: Lead and direct all end-to-end activities across the manufacturing sites in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, and Valenzuela City, ensuring the seamless conversion of raw materials into high-quality finished products (plastic and styrofoam).

• Standardization and Alignment: Develop and enforce common operating procedures (SOPs), quality control systems, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve maximum operational and quality alignment between both facilities.

• Supply Chain & Efficiency: Manage the entire supply chain, including raw material procurement, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.

• Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing principles) to enhance production efficiency, reduce material waste, and minimize machine downtime.

• Quality and Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes meet stringent world-class quality standards and comply with local environmental and regulatory requirements.

Management and Corporate Oversight (25% Focus)

• P&L and Budget Management: Monitor and control all operational and capital budgets, manage working capital, and take full ownership of the facilities' financial health to ensure profitability.

• Team Leadership: Directly manage, mentor, and develop the two Plant Managers, fostering a performance-driven culture and ensuring accountability across the workforce.

• Functional Supervision: Provide high-level oversight for key support departments including Finance and Supply Chain.

• Human Resources Management (Limited HR Focus): Supervise critical senior-level HR processes, including conducting exit interviews and managing offboarding, and ensuring sound labor practices in partnership with the local HR team.

What we're looking for:

• Experience Level & Profile: Minimum 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years as a General Manager or Director of Operations within the manufacturing sector (experience in plastics, packaging, or a related continuous process industry is a strong advantage)

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical) or Business Administration. An MBA is highly desirable.

• Core Competencies: Demonstrable competency in Strategic Planning, P&L Ownership, and Operational Standardization.
