Clinical Functions

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with physical and functional limitations.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and other hospital-approved interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Provide patient and family education on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals for integrated patient care.

Administrative Functions

  • Supervise and guide physical therapy aides and support staff in daily operations.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, workload distribution, and departmental workflow.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and hospital reports.
  • Manage inventory of therapy supplies and equipment, ensuring functionality and maintenance.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports and statistics required by hospital management.
  • Participate in policy development, quality improvement programs, and hospital accreditation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with DOH, PHIC, and other governing healthcare regulations.
  • Assist in training, orientation, and continuing education programs for staff.
