IT Technician for One-Time Network Installation Project
We are seeking a qualified IT technician to assist with a one-time project focused on installing Ethernet cabling for network utilization. The ideal candidate should possess specific knowledge and the capability to perform this job independently while collaborating with our IT specialist based in the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
Install Ethernet cables, specifically Cat6, ensuring adherence to punch down configuration standards.
Provide and manage cabling materials, including Cat6 cables, patch cords, and RJ45 modules, tailored to the lengths required for our office layout.
Ensure that the installation aligns with the existing office design, utilizing finish materials that match the established aesthetic.
Demonstrate proficiency in all versions of the Windows Operating System, particularly in setting up user profiles and migrating desktop environments from local systems to domain-based configurations.
Accurately identify operational systems in place and maintain consistency with existing standards.
Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of Ethernet cable standards (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat8) and wiring schemes (T568A and T568B).
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server, including understanding IP address scopes, routing, and DNS.
An advanced understanding of VOIP, VLAN, QOS, and Meraki systems is preferred but not required.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
