Business Analyst

1 Job Overview

The role combines the responsibilities of a Business Analyst and Process Engineer, focusing on analysing business needs, optimising workflows, and implementing innovative solutions. The individual will oversee processes, gather and refine requirements, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and compliance.

2 Duties and Responsibilities

· Process and Workflow Analysis:

o Assess existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

· Requirement Gathering and Solution Design:

o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and define requirements

o Propose and design new procedures or systems to optimise productivity and achieve business objectives.

· Process Testing and Implementation:

o Utilise internal software applications to test and identify optimal production or workflow strategies.

· Metrics and Reporting:

o Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the business management system and implemented solutions

o Assemble detailed reports documenting process status, changes, and outcomes for stakeholders and upper management.

· Stakeholder Communication and Change Management:

o Through reports Communicate findings, proposals, and progress updates clearly to upper management

o Identify new practices and solutions that will improve the efficiency of business operations.

· Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure processes align with applicable standards where required

o Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

· General Support:

o Support project management tasks such as timeline tracking and risk identification.

3 Skills

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality

· Proficient in process engineering software and business analysis tools (e.g., StrategyX, Lucidchart, Excel)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively

· Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile).

4 Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (graduate degree preferred)

· Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Lean Six Sigma are a plus

· Previous experience in business analysis, process engineering, or quality management.
