In the Electrical drafting role, you'll play a critical role , helping bring our complex and bespoke automation solutions to life through high-quality, industry compliant electrical drawings. Working closely with Electrical Engineers, Industrial

Electricians and Project Managers, you'll ensure that every design detail—right down to the wire number—is captured and communicated clearly.

You'll also contribute to standardisation efforts, BOM accuracy, and documentation workflows that ensure smooth builds, seamless installations, and safe operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and standardised electrical schematics, panel layouts, and cable schedules using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.
  • Maintain and update drawing sets in line with project changes or site requirements.
  • Assist engineers and production leads in preparing BOMs and procurement documentation.
  • Work within our standard drawing templates, naming conventions, and revision control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the wider production team to resolve drawing-related queries during panel builds and installations.
  • Contribute to the improvement and documentation of drafting processes and drawing libraries.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting software.
  • Experience drafting industrial or commercial electrical systems, ideally in automation, robotics, or manufacturing.
  • Understanding of AS/NZS3000 and general Australian electrical drafting standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to version control and document management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Electrical trade or engineering background (TAFE certification or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience with SkyCad, EPLAN or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Prior involvement in automation or control panel projects.
  • Familiarity with PLC IO schedules and basic control system architecture.
