Job Description

We need an experienced electrical engineer who can design electrical systems for our commercial projects in solar energy and cold storage warehousing, lead project implementation plans, and maintain and improve our electrical systems. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, supervision, and maintenance of all electrical engineering projects of Ng Khai Development Corporation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare systems design specifications, calculations, technical drawings, cost estimations, and detailed schedules for facility projects
  • Conduct M&E services site survey for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with technicians, contractors, civil engineer, and management to discuss and report on existing engineering projects to ensure design delivery
  • Implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, facilities, and components
  • Ensure system designs comply with applicable engineering codes and standards
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements by directing installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, and documentation, with emphasis on value engineering
  • Estimate budget and procurement estimates for materials, labor, and/or construction costs
  • Prepare and implement project plans by coordinating closely with contractors and management
  • Lead all other installation and maintenance projects that may be assigned by management

Qualifications

  • College graduate in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer is highly preferred
  • 2-3 years hands-on design experience in M&E services for building/infrastructure is a must
  • Proficiency in the following is a must: (1) AutoCAD and (1) Electrical CAD drafting/designing
  • Proficiency in the following is a plus but not required: Other design software such as BIM, AMTECH, ETAP, DIALux, etc.
  • Knowledge in the following is a must: (1) International and local electrical codes and standards and (2) Commercial construction materials (basic understanding)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Self-starter who can work both independently and in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Superior analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and great communication skills
