Job Responsibility Summary: Mechanical Engineer – Water & Wastewater Services

A Mechanical Engineer in Water and Wastewater Services is responsible for the design, development, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems that support water supply and wastewater treatment processes. This includes pumping stations, piping systems, valves, filtration systems, and treatment plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design & Development: Create mechanical designs for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.

-System Maintenance: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, valves, and HVAC systems.

-Project Management: Support planning, budgeting, and execution of water infrastructure projects.

-Technical Evaluation: Review technical specifications and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

-Site Supervision: Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure adherence to design and quality standards.

-Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in water and wastewater systems to ensure continuous operation.

-Collaboration: Work with civil, electrical, and process engineers as well as contractors and operators to deliver integrated solutions.

Advantage of Experience in Water/Wastewater Services:

-Deep understanding of treatment processes and equipment.

-Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., EPA, local water authorities).

-Practical knowledge of fluid mechanics, corrosion control, and system hydraulics in wet environments.

-Ability to implement energy-efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

-Registered Mechanical Engineer (PRC license or equivalent) – required.

-Open to fresh graduates who are recently licensed Mechanical Engineers.

-Strong understanding of mechanical systems, preferably with exposure to water or wastewater treatment processes.

-Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

-Good Willingness to learn and work in field-based or plant environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
