Job Description:

St. Vincent General Hospital Cebu, Inc. is urgently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Billing Staff to join our dynamic Finance Team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely billing of hospital services to patients, HMOs, and other third-party payers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that professional fees are charged and billed to patients, and communicates to doctors who failed to provide the same on their professional fees (PF) Slips
  • Ensures that all company accounts are covered with LOA, and coordinates with its liaison officer for issues, concerns and verifications
  • Finalize patient's bill after all stations/departments have cleared patient's account and provide a copy of the bill to the patient/SO
  • Ensures that all SOA's for company accounts are transmitted to accounts receivable section for billing and collection

Others:

  • Accepts payments from in-patients, out-patients, corporate accounts, HMO accounts and others.
  • Reconciles collections versus daily collection report.
  • Prepares deposit slips for the cash collection and drops the same to the vault intact.
  • Do credit card settlement at the end of shift.
  • Ensures that all official receipts are accounted.
  • Issues discharge notice after ensuring that patient has settled his/her hospital bill and doctor's professional fees.
  • Releases patient's refunds within approved limits
  • Ensures that all financial requirements are complied with before signing the business office clearance for minor and major surgical procedures or room transfers during night shifts.
  • Ensures that all endorsements are carried out.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the head

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of business course preferably Management Accounting or Accountancy
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant experience
