Job Description:

As a Senior Software Developer - Open API at iRipple Inc., you will be a key member of our Open API team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and flexible API solutions that enable seamless integration of our services into our clients' applications and systems. You will work on challenging and impactful projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. If you are a self-driven, creative, and detail-oriented software developer with a passion for crafting open APIs, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

● Design and develop serverless APIs that provide a user-friendly and efficient way for clients to access and utilize our services. Ensure that the APIs are well-documented, secure, and highly performant.

● Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to provide guidance and technical support during the integration of our APIs into their systems, helping them overcome any obstacles or challenges.

● Conduct thorough testing of the APIs, identify and resolve bugs, and implement best practices for quality assurance, including unit testing and integration testing.

● Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the APIs to ensure high availability and responsiveness, even under heavy loads.

● Implement and maintain security best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection within the APIs. Stay up-to-date with security trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

● Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the APIs, including code samples, use cases, and best practices to assist clients in their integration efforts.

● Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to API development and contribute to the evolution of our API strategy.

● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

● Proven experience at least 3 years in software development, with a focus on backend design and development.

● Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages and frameworks such as NodeJS, VueJS, AWS Services (EC2, Lambda, Dynamo Serverless Framework), MySQL, knowledge on Ruby on Rails is not required but is a plus.

● Expertise on GraphQL is a plus.

● Experience with API standards and technologies.

● Knowledge of database systems, cloud platforms, and containerization

● Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to software quality and best practices.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and interact with clients.

● Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus
