QAQC Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are looking for a QA/QC Supervisor with a degree in Geotechnical Engineering to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities in a hydropower project. This project-based role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to ensure that construction works, particularly geotechnical and civil components, meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing and Inspection: Conduct inspections and quality checks on geotechnical works (e.g., foundations, slope stability, soil compaction, retaining structures, tunneling, and excavation works) as well as other hydropower components to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Ensure timely submission of quality-related reports to management.
• Compliance: Verify that construction processes, materials, and geotechnical works comply with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, civil/structural teams, design engineers, project managers, and contractors to address quality concerns and improve overall project execution.
• Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures for geotechnical and civil works to enhance construction efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnics.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC roles, with a strong background in geotechnical and civil works, preferably within hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of geotechnical testing methods, soil mechanics, foundation design, and construction quality standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Others: Willingness to work on a project-based assignment in field or site locations.
