Job Summary

The Engineering Supervisor oversees daily engineering operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of all technical systems, equipment, and personnel. This role is responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians, coordinating maintenance and project activities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of engineering and technical staff.
  • Plan, assign, and review engineering work orders, preventive maintenance, and project activities.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency through effective maintenance strategies.
  • Coordinate with other departments (production, quality, safety, procurement) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage engineering documentation, maintenance records, and technical reports.
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and modification of machinery or infrastructure.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction, energy efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and procurement of engineering materials and services.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to resolve critical issues.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years in engineering or maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
