  • Concept development: Plan and conceptualize layouts for a wide range of materials, including logos, advertisements, brochures, and social media graphics.
  • Design creation: Use design software to create visuals, select images, choose fonts, and arrange text and graphics to meet the client's message and brand identity.
  • Artwork preparation: Prepare final artwork for production, which can include working with printers for physical materials or optimizing for digital platforms.
  • Revisions and feedback: Present designs to clients or art directors, gather feedback, and make necessary revisions to ensure the final product is successful.

Essential skills

  • Technical proficiency: Expertise in design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is crucial, and knowledge of other tools like Figma or Sketch is often a plus.
  • Design fundamentals: A strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and other design principles to create aesthetically pleasing and effective visuals.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present ideas, collaborate with team members, and understand client needs.
  • Time management: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
