JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of a restaurant, focusing on cleanliness, customer service and support for the serving staff. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, assisting with guests' needs, and potentially handling some administrative tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS AND HYGIENE:

-Ensuring the dining area, kitchen, and service areas are clean and organized.

-Maintaining sanitation standards for tableware, equipment, and the overall environment.

-Clearing tables, cleaning spills, and maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms.

· CUSTOMER SERVICE:

-Greeting guests, seating them at tables, and providing menus.

-Answering phones, taking reservations, and providing basic information about the restaurant.

-Assisting guests with requests, such as refilling drinks or providing extra napkins.

-Escorting guests to restrooms or exits as needed.

· SUPPORTING SERVICE STAFF:

-Stocking serving stations with necessary supplies like cutlery, napkins, and condiments.

-Assisting with setting up tables, including polishing silverware and arranging place settings.

-Helping to clear tables and prepare them for the next guests.

-Potentially assisting with basic food preparation, like assembling salads or desserts.

· INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:

-Ensuring adequate supplies of cleaning materials and other restaurant essentials.

-Reordering supplies when needed to prevent shortages.

· GENERAL SUPPORT:

-Assisting with opening and closing tasks, such as setting up decorations or cleaning.

-Helping with special events or catering set-ups.

-Following all safety and sanitation procedures.

-May involve some administrative tasks like answering phones or taking reservations.
