We are seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for digital engineering and BIM innovation. This role will focus on developing custom tools and workflows to enhance the use of Tekla Structures and related platforms, driving automation, accuracy, and efficiency across design, detailing, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop custom applications, scripts, and plugins within Tekla Structures to automate workflows.
  • Design and implement software solutions to optimize digital processes across detailing, estimation, planning, and production.
  • Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to align solutions with operational needs.
  • Research emerging technologies in BIM, automation, and construction software.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing in-house tools for Tekla compatibility.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on developed solutions.
  • Document workflows, code, and processes to support scalability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, and Tekla Open API.
  • Strong experience in Tekla Structures customization and integration.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, IFC, Revit interoperability, and automation workflows.
  • Experience with databases, cloud applications, or R&D projects in engineering/construction.
  • Knowledge of rebar design, detailing, or prefabrication is an advantage but not essential.
