Job Summary:

The Animal Technician is responsible for the daily care, monitoring, and maintenance of chickens in a poultry and egg production facility. This includes ensuring optimal animal health, productivity, cleanliness, and compliance with biosecurity and company standards.


Key Responsibilities

1. Animal Care and Management

  • Feed, water, and monitor chickens according to established schedules.
  • Collect, grade, and record daily egg production.
  • Check bird health regularly for signs of disease, injury, or stress.
  • Assist in the vaccination, weighing, and transfer of chickens.
  • Implement proper lighting, ventilation, and temperature control procedures.

2. Sanitation and Biosecurity

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of poultry houses, feeders, and drinkers.
  • Follow strict biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Disinfect tools, equipment, and work areas as required.
  • Dispose of mortalities and waste materials in accordance with company and environmental guidelines.

3. Record Keeping and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate daily logs of feed consumption, egg production, mortality, and medication.
  • Report abnormalities in bird behavior, feed intake, or production to the Farm Supervisor immediately.

4. Equipment and Facility Maintenance

  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of poultry housing, feeders, drinkers, and other farm equipment.
  • Ensure all systems (lighting, ventilation, feeding lines, and water lines) are functioning properly.

Qualifications
  • At least a High School Graduate; a Vocational Course or Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Can perform fieldwork.
  • Willing to be assigned in the San Agustin, Santo Tomas, Batangas area.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of poultry health, feeding, and egg production systems is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to perform fieldwork.
  • Willing to work on weekends or holidays when needed.
  • Honest, dependable, and able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Willing to start immediately.
