Job Summary

The Captain Waiter acts as the supervisor of the Food & Beverage Department, overseeing daily operations while ensuring that guests receive a high-quality dining experience. This role is responsible for leading the service team, coordinating meal service, and engaging with guests to provide a VIP-level experience. The Captain Waiter ensures that food quality, presentation, and service standards are consistently met, while also recommending food and beverage options to guests for a more personalized dining experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Provide personalized guest interactions, recommending menu items based on preferences and dietary needs.
  • Ensure VIP guests receive a seamless and elevated dining experience.
  • Oversee table service, ensuring that orders are accurately taken, prepared, and served on time.
  • Address guest concerns and special requests promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Train the team in hospitality etiquette, upselling techniques, and menu knowledge.

Food & Beverage Operations Supervision

  • Supervise and lead the Food & Beverage staff, ensuring smooth coordination between the kitchen and service team.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events, including setup, service, and guest coordination.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels, ensuring proper requisitioning of supplies and minimizing wastage.
  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards according to company and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure food presentation and quality meet expectations.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Assign duties to wait staff, bartenders, and support personnel, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on customer service, menu updates, and proper serving techniques.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Lead by example, maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail at all times.

Sales & Revenue Optimization

  • Promote food and beverage sales through suggestive selling and upselling techniques.
  • Recommend pairings and special menu items to enhance the guest dining experience.
  • Monitor and analyze customer preferences to provide insights for menu improvements.

Administrative & Reporting Tasks

  • Maintain service reports, including daily guest feedback, sales reports, and inventory tracking.
  • Ensure accurate cash and billing transactions in coordination with the accounting team.
  • Assist in menu planning and suggest new promotions or seasonal offerings to boost revenue.

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a supervisory role in F&B.
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills, with a focus on guest engagement and satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage pairing, service etiquette, and fine dining standards.
  • Ability to train and lead a service team, ensuring high performance and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory tracking, and sales reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.

Work Conditions

  • On-site position with variable shifts depending on business needs.
  • Requires extended hours during peak seasons, special events, and VIP functions.
  • Interaction with a diverse range of guests, requiring patience, adaptability, and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php15, Php20,000.00 per month
