The Opportunity

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization provides secure, coordinated, enterprise-wide IAM Services to enable efficient and effective protection of P&G information assets, aligned with business needs. The IAM Ping Services Level 3 Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of PING Services such as PingID, PingFederate, and PingAccess. This role is also responsible for implementing ITIL-based problem and incident management processes for Ping Identity tools and services either in a critical issue capacity or through owning the activities of Level 2 Operations Analysts to whom problems or incidents are assigned for investigation and resolution.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain documentations used by Ping Operations team (e.g. SOPs, etc)
  • Support in Incident Management process through advanced troubleshooting.  Drive Problem Management by leading Root cause analysis and action planning on Problem Records
  • Work with Engineering in Change Management by providing support in the implementation of Changes
  • Participate in capacity assessment and planning, and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with the leadership team.
  • Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
  • Provide input and requirements during process and control design by IAM Delivery.
  • Supply to defining Ping Services service levels, Key Performance Indicators and metrics as co-lead by the IAM Operations Manager and IAM Service Delivery/Product team
  • Recommend, test, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, server backups, and server hardening.
  • Work closely with the Product/Service and Engineering team in delivering the roadmap of projects for Ping Service e.g. Upgrades, Security patches, Enhancements/New Features, etc.
  • Willing to periodically work on weekends or holidays to support critical issues or implement major changes

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is passionate about IT Security.
  • Ability to identify recurring issues, propose the efficient technical solution, gain alignment on the solution, and implement the changes.
  • Trouble shoot issues spanning multiple disciplines (e.g., Ping, Networks, Directories, etc.).
  • Can work independently and as a team to capture requirements and translate into solutions
  • Has the ability to multitask and prioritize, work on multiple projects and lead time effectively.
  • Can professionally provide customer-facing support.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, other STEM field, or 5+ year meaningful experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Identity and Access Management, with hands on experience in managing and troubleshooting SAML/OAuth/OIDC connections.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Operations, with hands on experience in Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Problem Management and Change Management.
  • Ability to work and collaborate within a global team and many different vendors for Incident resolution, Change implementation and Continual improvement planning.
  • ITIL-based operations problem and incident management experience. Including running a geographically distributed team of 3rd party resources, Level 2 operations staff, and IAM technologies suppliers during normal, day-to-day operations, leading outage response teams to restore service after interruption, execution of operational improvement projects, and testing required to support project execution by IAM Engineering and changes led through IAM Service Delivery.
  • Deep technical knowledge of key IAM concepts (e.g., Authentication, Authorization, Federation, Zero Trust).
  • Good understanding of SAML, OAuth, WS-FED, OpenID Connect, and SCIM standards.
  • Hands-on experience within Linux & Cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiar with Terraform Scripting, Python, Groovy Scripting, OGNL, and JavaScript.
  • Basic experience with LDAP/Databases, Digital Certificates, Kerberos, and Rest APIs.
  • Technical experience in using the Service Now ticketing system, JIRA, GitHub (CI/CD)
  • Willingness to grow in the Privilege Access Management space as a second domain of expertise.

Preferred:

  • ITIL 4 Certificate, ISC2 Certification in Cybersecurity
  • Prior experience with PAM solutions like CyberArk or Centrify a plus.
