QC Manager

Our client is a leading Philippine-based confectionery and packaging manufacturer with nearly three decades of experience producing marshmallows, compound chocolates, and flexible packaging solutions. With a strong presence in over 20 countries and globally recognized certifications such as BRC, GMP, ISO 22000, and Halal, the company is committed to food safety, quality innovation, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

To strengthen its operations in Bulacan, we are seeking a QC Manager who will play a pivotal role in maintaining and elevating quality standards across raw materials, production, and packaging lines.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing robust quality control processes and procedures
2. Overseeing a team of quality assurance specialists to monitor production and provide real-time feedback
3. Analysing quality data and production metrics to identify areas for improvement
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
5. Ensuring the facility maintains compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards
6. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction
7. Providing regular quality performance updates to senior management

• Develop and implement robust quality control processes across confectionery and packaging operations.
• Oversee the testing and validation of raw materials such as starch, gelatin, sugars, cocoa derivatives, and other food-grade inputs.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA specialists to ensure real-time monitoring and corrective action in production.
• Analyze quality data and production metrics to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with production, R&D, and packaging teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure strict compliance with global standards including ISO, GMP, HACCP, and BRC.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular quality performance reports to senior management.

• At least 5 years of experience in a quality management role within food manufacturing, preferably confectionery, snacks, or starch/gelatin-based production.
• Strong knowledge in the quality assurance of raw materials (starch, gelatin, sugar, dairy, cocoa, flavorings, colorants).
• Proven technical expertise in QA methodologies, compliance frameworks, and food safety practices.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and quality management systems.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GMP, or similar certifications.
• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, ASQ CQM, or ISO Lead Auditor preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and build effective QA teams.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
