Job Summary:

We are looking for a
QA Automation Engineer

to join our team at LOCQ ). This role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure high-quality software for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in automation testing and is familiar with performance or security testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright or similar tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and UI automation testing for web and mobile applications (Android/iOS).
  • Participate in performance or security testing to ensure system stability and security.
  • Troubleshoot, document, and track defects and system issues.
  • Review test results, report defects, and provide actionable feedback to development teams.
  • Support test planning and execution within Agile development cycles.
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least years of experience in software testing

- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright preferred; Selenium, Cypress, Appium also acceptable).
- Proficiency in testing web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, TypeScript, or Python.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), version control (Git), and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Experience in API testing (Postman or similar).
- Basic understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
