Join Us as an Optical / Support Network Engineer

Are you passionate about optical networking and ready to make an impact in the industry? We're looking for an experienced Optical Network Engineer to join our team and work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in network technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of DWDM optics projects.
  • Expertise with Ciena equipment, including the 6500 series, RLS, and Waveserver, with skills in link additions, channel addition, service provisioning, and alarm monitoring.
  • Proficiency in working with the Ciena DWDM ecosystem and NMS for effective network management and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with channel and service configuration, as well as troubleshooting on Ciena 6500 series equipment, RLS, and Waveserver.
  • Working knowledge of service configuration, modification, and deletion on Ciena RLS.
  • Experience with channel addition, balancing, service creation, and node integration on Ciena NMS.
  • Proficiency in creating design documents such as DCN plans, LLDs, FRVs, SFDs, and NDDs.
  • Experience with control plane operations.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • BS/B-Tech/BE in Electronics and Communication (EC), Computer Science (CS), Electrical Engineering (EE), or related fields preferred.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Ciena 6500 series, RLS, and Waveserver.
  • Experience in DWDM link commissioning, channel addition, and service creation on multi-vendor DWDM networks is essential.
