Geodetic Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Geodetic Engineer
to lead all surveying and geospatial activities for a large-scale project with a strong focus on dam development. He/she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the project's precise geodetic control network, conducting comprehensive baseline surveys, and ensuring rigorous quality control throughout the construction phase. Additionally, he will play a critical role in implementing and managing the long-term deformation monitoring system for the dam, ensuring structural integrity and safety. This position requires a meticulous professional who can manage complex survey data, verify contractor work, and provide essential support for project design, construction, and ongoing safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering
• Licensed Geodetic Engineer
• At least 5 -10 years of extensive experience as a Survey or Geodetic Engineer on large-scale heavy civil engineering projects.
• Specific, hands-on experience in dam, tunnel, or power plant construction is highly required
• Expertise in operating modern surveying instrumentation (e.g., high-precision Total Stations, GNSS/GPS, Digital Levels, 3D Laser Scanners).
• Proficiency in survey data processing software, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D), and ideally, specialized deformation analysis software.
• A deep understanding of geodetic principles, map projections, coordinate transformations, and statistical error analysis.
