Formworks Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Formworks Engineer is responsible for designing, planning and overseeing the installation and dismantling of temporary formwork structures used to support concrete until it gains sufficient strength. They ensure the safety, structural integrity and efficient of formwork systems used in the construction of buildings, bridges, tunnels, and other concrete structures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Planning

• Develop and prepare formwork drawings, layout plans, and material take-offs.
• Select suitable formworks system (e.g., conventional, modular, or custom systems) based in structural and site requirements.
• Coordinate with Structural and Civil Engineers to ensure design align with project specifications.

Project Execution

• Supervise the installation and dismantling of formwork on-site
• Provide technical guidance to site supervisors and formwork crews.
• Ensure correct sequencing and shoring methods are followed during construction.

Quality and Safety Assurance

• Conduct inspections to ensure formwork structures comply wit safety and design standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards during formwork installation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ACI, BS Eurocode) and company safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education

2. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

3. Experience

4. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in formwork design and construction.

5. Technical Competencies ("Know-how")

6. Strong technical and structural analysis skills

7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
8. Basic understanding of labor laws and payroll processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php24,000.00 per month
