Senior Electrical Engineer

Department:

Engineering & Technical Services

Reports To:

CEO

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the design and engineering of solar PV systems, including detailed load analysis, single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment sizing to ensure optimal performance and safety.

· Supervise and validate site surveys and feasibility studies, ensuring accuracy of technical data and proper assessment of site conditions for design and implementation.

· Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring all works comply with engineering specifications, project standards, and regulatory codes.

· Review and approve electrical designs, plans, and calculations prepared by junior engineers and CAD operators.

· Ensure strict compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), and Department of Energy (DOE) regulations.

· Prepare and review project documentation such as design drawings, engineering reports, inspection checklists, and as-built plans.

· Coordinate closely with project managers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure technical accuracy, timely delivery, and cost efficiency of projects.

· Provide expert troubleshooting and post-installation technical support to resolve system performance issues and ensure client satisfaction.

· Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

· Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in renewable energy, electrical design, and system integration to drive innovation and sustainability in company projects.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional License (REE) required.

· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical design, solar PV systems, or power distribution projects.

· Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and energy storage systems.

· Proven understanding of the Philippine Electrical Code, OSHS, DOE, and LGU permitting requirements.

· Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and MS Office; experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project) is an advantage.

· Demonstrated experience in project supervision, technical documentation, and quality assurance.
