Junior Buyer

The role is responsible for managing end-to-end transactional buying and sourcing activities, ensuring timely allocation to suppliers within the agreed service levels. It involves analyzing requisitions, enforcing supplier compliance, conducting bidding or sourcing activities, and securing the best price, delivery, and terms for non-contracted items. The position also ensures accuracy in purchase orders, monitors order status, and maintains compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines. Additionally, it contributes to process efficiency by identifying non-value-added tasks and supporting continuous improvement within procurement operations.

What You'll Do

• You complete transactional buying and appropriately allocate to suppliers within the required service level agreement.
• You manage the sourcing process by analyzing requisitions, enforcing the preferred supplier compliance strategy, sourcing to potential suppliers according to the commodity-driven supplier list, completing free-text requests, and obtaining the best price, delivery, and terms for non-contracted items.
• You provide operational purchasing activities related to indirect spend based on service level agreements and policy thresholds, using the local language of the country being supported, as needed.
• You verify purchase requisitions and processing requirements, determine the best source of supply by conducting sourcing/bidding activities, place the orders, and ensure POs are consistent with contractual agreements or approved terms and conditions. You conduct expediting as necessary, including coordinating the vendor master information, monitoring open orders, and/or closing inactive orders based on policy, keeping all relevant stakeholders aware of order status.
• You identify non-value-added work to support a hands-free environment.

You accomplish the organization's mission by completing relevant activities and delivering results as needed.

• You ensure compliance with company spend policy and the established playbook. You conduct daily activities within SLA for the purchasing and procurement of requisitioned parts, indirect supplies, and services, in accordance with established policies, SOPs, and SWIs across designated procurement commodities.

What We're Looking For

• You must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Business or any related major.
• You must have 1-3years of experience in Procurement (sourcing, evaluating bids, proven ability to correctly translate and process customer requests)
• Preferably, you must have negotiation experience, International Logistics expertise, Supplier Management with foreign incoterms, and experience working in multinational companies
• You must have previous experience with SAP-ERP, SRM, CRM, or a comparable system
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• You have the ability to follow procedures and sequential processes
• You must have critical thinking skills to analyze/review orders and drive process efficiencies
• You are a team player and have strong interpersonal skills
• You have proven ability to work on your own initiative
• You must have exposure to a Shared Services Center or BPO setting
• You are required to have the ability to speak in Spanish.
• You are amenable to working on a night shift and in a hybrid setup.
