About the role

We are seeking an experienced Naval Architect to join our team at Phil Wave Boat Builder Co. Ltd. in Tanza Cavite. This full-time position will be responsible for designing and engineering innovative boat and ship designs to meet the evolving needs of our clients. As a critical member of our Design & Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing and developing new boat and ship models using advanced CAD software
  2. Conducting hydrodynamic analysis and stability calculations to ensure seaworthiness and performance
  3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs
  4. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices
  5. Providing technical guidance and support to the broader Design & Architecture team
  6. Assisting with the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Naval Architect, preferably in the boat building or maritime industry
  2. Demonstrated expertise in ship and boat design, including proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Rhinoceros
  3. Strong background in hydrodynamics, naval architecture principles, and marine engineering
  4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  5. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally
  6. Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  7. Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices
