The role of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to understand, document and/or model business issues, processes and requirements, translate them into a vision for a new or enhanced IT solution and oversee the developments and/or implementation of the IT solution.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Proactively elicit requirements from and validate requirements with Project Managers, Product Managers, Business Representatives, UX specialists and Developers.
  2. Produce requirement specifications and related deliverables on time to keep the project schedule on track.
  3. Identify changes in business processes, procedures and practices needed to achieve change and deliver the planned benefits.
  4. Produce as-is and to-be business processes models.
  5. Use project tools to produce deliverables and track progress, especially: Confluence, JIRA.
  6. Ensure that MS Office documents are all managed within Project SharePoint sites.
  7. Keep requirements specifications up-to-date as designs evolve.
  8. Help to set stakeholder expectations.
  9. Communicate continuously with the development team to ensure they are on track.
  10. Run user acceptance and usability lab to test early built of the product.
  11. Support Testing with the identification/scripting/execution of test cases and the creation and tracking of related bugs.
  12. Support Technical Author with the production of user documentation, training kits and internal product marketing material.
  13. Liaison with other internal and external parties as required.
  14. Supporting others in ISD on business and technical issues where appropriate.

Required Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Reporting experience and skilled in Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
  • Excellent inter personal skills and the ability to build collaborative teams
  • Excellent Communication skills: listening, presenting, writing and diagramming.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good problem solving and critical thinking
