What You'll Do

  • Lead backend development across core APIs, data workflows, and integrations.
  • lead backend architecture decisions, ensuring clarity, maintainability, and scalability in every release.
  • Design and maintain high-performance data pipelines (ETL, event-driven, and background jobs) powering analytics, reporting, and AI-driven systems.
  • Build and evolve API-driven integrations and event-based communication between modules and external systems.
  • Architect data models and workflows that scale across multi-tenant, high-volume environments.
  • Write secure, performant, and maintainable Python code using Django.
  • Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, observability, and runtime performance.
  • Improve system reliability through profiling, refactoring, and data flow optimization.
  • Apply security-by-design principles to authentication, authorization, and data protection.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of backend development experience with deep expertise in Python.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, API architecture, and asynchronous data processing.
  • Proven ability to design and scale data pipelines, including ETL and event-driven systems.
  • Experience maintaining both monolithic and microservice architectures.
  • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL database design, performance tuning, and data lifecycle management, ideally including vector database experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and collaborating within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Skilled in observability, metrics, and performance optimization for production systems.
  • Deep understanding of security and encryption fundamentals for sensitive data.
  • Hands-on mindset — you debug, optimize, and ship code daily.

Nice to Have

  • Built or scaled SaaS platforms for enterprise or regulated data.
  • Experience with streaming and messaging systems (Kafka, Redis, SQS, Celery).
  • Exposure to ML/AI-driven systems, including RAG pipelines or vector search.
  • Familiarity with multi-region or multi-tenant architectures.
  • Contributed to shaping engineering practices through code, not management.
