Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled technician to support the installation, maintenance, and coordination of structured cabling and IT infrastructure within residential and data center environments. The successful candidate will provide hands-on expertise in network cabling, rack and stack activities, and technical service coordination for the financial services sector, ensuring compliance and uptime for mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, test, and label copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber cabling in residential, office, and data center environments
• Execute rack and stack activities, including installation of servers, switches, routers, and related IT equipment
• Perform hardware refreshes, cabling upgrades, and patching as part of ongoing support
• Troubleshoot and resolve structured cabling and network connectivity issues
• Perform site surveys, create as-built documentation, and ensure compliance with cabling/electrical standards (EIA/TIA, ISO/IEC)
• Coordinate with operations, project managers, and service teams to meet project milestones
• Liaise with financial sector clients to schedule maintenance, minimize downtime, and align with operational/security requirements
• Manage work orders, track materials, and maintain service records for audit compliance
• Support logistics for equipment delivery, inventory, and site preparation
• Ensure work adheres to security protocols, change management procedures, and access policies
• Maintain high standards for documentation and regulatory reporting
• Promote safety, compliance, and operational discipline on all projects

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or certification in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in structured cabling, hardware installation, and field coordination within technical/data environments
• Experience supporting finance sector/banking institutions in secure, regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (EIA/TIA-568, 606, 607) and data center practices
• Skilled with network cable testers, OTDR, and Fluke certification tools
• Understanding of LAN/WAN fundamentals, network topology, and IP systems
• Excellent coordination, communication, and client engagement abilities
• Physically fit for cabling, lifting, and confined-space work
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites and data centers

Preferred Certifications:

• BICSI Technician or Installer Certification
• Fiber Optic Association (FOA) or equivalent
• CompTIA Network+
• Data Center Cabling Specialist (DCCS) or similar credential
• Workplace Safety/OSHA Certification

Work Environment:

• Split between residential customer sites and secure data centers
• Frequent professional interaction with financial industry clients
• Some after-hours or weekend work to support maintenance
• Regular travel between sites
