Role Description

The Operational Risk Manager will play a lead role in the risk identification and assessment, measurement, monitoring and control of operational risks. The position is crucial to deliver the reporting expectations of Group Risk in this area, and to satisfy the requirements of the BSP. The Operational Risk Manager will be a highly visible officer in the bank and shall essentially be an agile collaborator and controls advocate to many different teams in the bank.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide timely updates, reports, and recommendations to the Senior Operational Risk Manager and Chief Risk Officer in all operational risk matters.
  2. Manage the timely update and delivery of Operational Risk reporting requirements such as the RCSA, BIA, and operational risk metrics such as the risk register and the LEDs.
  3. Monitor the proper implementation of the New Products Approval Process (NPAP) and report non-compliance to the Senior Operational Risk Officer and Chief Risk Officer.
  4. Evaluate new products and provide risk and control assessment for the approval of the CRO.
  5. Assist the Senior Operational Risk Manager in non-financial risk assessments and risk measurement and updating the ICAAP in all operational risk areas.
  6. Inspire and provide mentorship, training, and proactive leadership to the Designated Compliance and Operational Risk Officers (DCOROs) in the 1st Line of Defense.
  7. Provide high visibility to various stakeholders to effectively embed NFRM controls in policies, processes, new products, new activities, contracts, projects, and other operational areas of the bank.
  8. Update, maintain, and calibrate the bank's operational risk appetite, limits, and tolerances and coordinate with Group Risk for approval and reporting.
  9. Manage the Fraud Risk Control activities and reporting requirements as per Group Fraud Risk Policy.
  10. Provide collaborative support and inputs to the Operational Risk Head and the IT Risk and Technology Risk Head whenever necessary.
  11. Deliver KPIs and results in each of the non-financial risk areas
