AVP for Finance

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a diamond client's end-to-end accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, intercompany, and month-end closing activities. Act as a subject matter expert and actively engage in process understanding—not just directing from above, but learning, improving, and supporting the work alongside the team. Champion process standardization and automation across the department to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulations (GAAP/IFRS, SOX, etc.). Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports in coordination with client's finance team. Partner closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT to resolve issues and streamline processes.

Define and monitor KPIs and SLAs; use data to identify areas for performance improvement. Support ERP system enhancements and other finance transformation initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (Master's or CPA/CA is strongly preferred).

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant exposure toend-to-end accounting processesand shared service environments. Experience leading teams of 100+ within a shared service center or BPO organization. Demonstrated ability towork hands-on, learn new processes quickly, and lead by example.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls. Experience managing teams and influencing across a matrixed organization. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office tools.

Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Continuous improvement mindset: experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or process optimization is an advantage. Amenable to work on night shift and rotating schedules.
