Job Summary:

The Store Clerk / Cashier is responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization. The role requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cashiering and Transactions
  • Accurately process cash, credit, and mobile payments.
  • Issue receipts and ensure proper documentation of sales.
  • Handle refunds, exchanges, and discounts following store policies.
  • Maintain an organized and balanced cash register.
  • Customer Service
  • Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide information about promotions, discounts, and store policies.
  • Store Maintenance and Organization
  • Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
  • Assist in stocking shelves and arranging displays.
  • Monitor product inventory and report low-stock items.
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled and priced.
  • Security and Compliance
  • Follow cash handling and anti-theft procedures.
  • Verify identification for age-restricted items, if applicable.
  • Report any suspicious activities or security concerns.
  • Adhere to company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
  • Other Duties
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
  • Support in daily sales reporting and record-keeping.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long hours.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to handle money responsibly.
  • Basic computer knowledge for POS systems and inventory tracking.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: Php14, Php14,500.00 per month
