About the role

As Superintendent Earthworks at EEI Corporation, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all earthworks activities for the company's civil engineering projects across Metro Manila. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe execution of excavation, grading, and site preparation work, aligning with the company's commitment to excellence in civil/structural engineering.

What you'll be doing

  1. Supervise and coordinate all earthworks activities, including excavation, backfilling, compaction, and site grading
  2. Develop and implement detailed work plans, schedules, and procedures to optimise productivity and quality
  3. Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones are met
  4. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control measures
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate earthworks activities with the overall project plan
  6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the earthworks crew, promoting continuous improvement and skills development
  7. Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and cost estimates related to earthworks activities

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 8 years of experience as a Superintendent in civil/structural engineering projects, with a strong focus on earthworks
  2. Thorough understanding of excavation, grading, compaction, and site preparation techniques and equipment
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  4. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership skills
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing project requirements
  7. Certification or training in construction management, safety, or quality control is a plus
