As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for the following:
- Audits and verifies info accuracy on medical claims being submitted to insurance companies
- Check proper Procedure (CPT) and Diagnosis (ICD-10) codes and modifiers
- Evaluate and process outpatient/office visit claims
- Coordinate and collaborate tasks and concerns with billing manager and other billing staff
- Monitor status of claims ensuring timely status is maintained
- Review billing information to check for accuracy and correctness
- Investigate or communicate with management in case of discrepancy of information
Requirements:
- At least 6 month experience as a Medical Coder or relevant experience
- CPC or any coding certification is a plus
- Knowledgeable in health insurance and their standards and billing protocols
- Knowledgeable in medical terms, coding and practices
Others:
- Excellent communication skills both oral & written
- Can work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Amenable to work on site with US schedule (PST/DST)
- Must be willing to work in a night shift schedule.
