Position Overview

The Kitchen Staff is responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining proper kitchen hygiene and safety standards. This role supports chefs and other culinary team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality food service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are cleaned and sanitized.
  • Maintain proper storage of food items and check for freshness and quality.
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing food supplies and inventory.
  • Dispose of waste properly and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
  • Follow all kitchen rules, recipes, and instructions from supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for long hours.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and kitchen equipment.
