General Duties of a Carpenter

• Understand construction plans and technical drawings to follow exact specifications.
• Measure, Cut, and Shape Materials
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut wood, drywall, plastic, or other materials accurately.
• Construct, Install, and Repair Structures
• Build frameworks like walls, floors, doors, staircases, roofing, and cabinets.
• Install fixtures such as windows, moldings, shelves, or doors.
• Inspect and Replace Damaged Framework or Structures
• Check for structural integrity and replace worn or unsafe parts.
• Follow Building Codes and Safety Regulations
• Comply with national and local construction codes.
• Ensure proper safety practices on-site (e.g. PPE use, scaffolding safety).
• Collaborate with Other Trades
• Work alongside electricians, plumbers, and painters as part of the construction team.
• Estimate Materials and Labor
• Help calculate the amount of wood, nails, screws, or fixtures needed.
• Assist in cost and time estimation.
• Maintain Tools and Equipment
• Keep carpentry tools in good condition.
• Ensure proper storage and usage.
• Supervise or Train Apprentices (if applicable)
• Teach basic carpentry skills to assistants or trainees.
• Oversee quality of their work.

Pay: Php18, Php18,500.00 per month
