About the role

Tomono Premium Bakery, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Pastry Helper to join our team in our new commissary. In this full-time role, you will assist our talented Head Bakery Chef in creating delectable pastries and baked goods for our discerning customers. What you'll be doing

• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Mix, shape, and bake doughs, batters, and other pastry ingredients under the guidance of the Head Chef
• Assist with the preparation of doughs, fillings, frostings, glazes, and toppings
• Help decorate pastries and desserts with icing, sugar, fondant, or other finishing touches
• Operate baking equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work station
• Wash and sanitize utensils, tools, and equipment used in the commissary
• Ensure all kitchen supplies are stocked and properly stored
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of supplies
• Participate in team meetings and trainings to develop skills and knowledge in pastry making
• Assist in special projects or additional tasks as assigned by the Head Chef

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen environment, preferably as a Pastry Helper or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for tasks such as piping, decorating, and precision cutting
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• A passion for baking and a keen interest in the culinary arts
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
